Edgefund

Comment policy

Last updated: Reviewed at launch

These rules apply wherever readers can write to Edgefund: article comments when they are open, and messages sent through the contact page. Posting means you accept them.

What we want

  • Corrections. If a number or a claim is wrong, say so and we'll fix the article.
  • Questions about something the article left unclear.
  • Your own experience, especially when it contradicts ours.

What gets removed

  • Spam, referral codes, affiliate links and any comment written to promote something.
  • Personal attacks, harassment, threats, hate speech targeting any group.
  • Sexually explicit, violent or otherwise obscene material.
  • Illegal content, piracy links, malware, phishing or scams.
  • Impersonating another person, brand or this site.
  • Other people's personal data — names, addresses, phone numbers, screenshots of private messages.
  • Copyrighted text pasted wholesale without permission.
  • Off-topic rants and comments posted repeatedly across articles.

Moderation

Comments are moderated before or shortly after they appear. We may edit for length or formatting, remove a comment, or close discussion on an article without giving a reason. Publication is never guaranteed and moderation decisions are final. Repeat offenders are blocked.

Who is responsible

Comments belong to the people who write them. They are not the views of Edgefund, and a comment staying up is not an endorsement. Nothing posted by a reader is professional advice — see the disclaimer.

Your content

By posting, you confirm the content is yours to post and you grant Edgefund a non-exclusive right to display, store and archive it on this site. You can ask us to delete your comment at any time.

Privacy

What we store when you write to us is covered in the privacy policy. Don't post anything you would not want indexed by a search engine.
